Job Overview: The Program Officer, Subcontracts plays a crucial role in supporting the Strengthening Infectious Disease Detection Systems (STRIDES) Activity. This position is primarily focused on managing the full cycle of subcontracts, which includes planning, administration, and monitoring from initiation through to closeout. The officer will be responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing information pertinent to subcontract and project performance, ensuring compliance with deliverables. The role requires coordination with various teams to implement subcontracted activities effectively, aligning them with approved work plans and project timelines. The officer will also support procurement processes related to subcontracting and project needs, ensuring adherence to organizational policies. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Program Officer include providing support to project management, leading meetings related to subcontract coordination, and reviewing expense reports for accuracy. Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree or its international equivalent in fields such as Civil Society, Communication, Economic Development, Education, Health, or a related area is required. Experience: The position typically requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in project management principles and practices. Candidates should have prior experience working in NGOs, government agencies, or private organizations, particularly in managing subcontracts or subawards on U.S. Government-funded programs.
