Job Overview:
The position of National IC for Consolidation and Documentation of Project Achievement involves working closely with UNDP to consolidate and document the achievements of various projects. The individual contractor will be responsible for gathering data, analyzing project outcomes, and preparing comprehensive reports that highlight the successes and lessons learned from the projects. This role requires a strong understanding of project management and evaluation methodologies, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. The contractor will also be expected to contribute to the development of best practices and recommendations for future projects based on the documented achievements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to project achievements and outcomes.
  • Preparing detailed reports that document the successes and challenges faced during project implementation.
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of achievements.
  • Developing case studies and success stories that can be shared with stakeholders and the public.
  • Providing recommendations for improving project implementation based on documented experiences.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback and insights on project outcomes.
  • Ensuring that all documentation adheres to UNDP standards and guidelines.
  • Participating in meetings and workshops to present findings and share knowledge with colleagues.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical and writing skills, with a proven ability to document project achievements effectively. Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in data collection and analysis, as well as experience in report writing. Strong communication skills are necessary to engage with various stakeholders and present findings clearly and concisely. Candidates should also be detail-oriented and able to work independently while managing multiple tasks.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, development studies, project management, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree would be an advantage, particularly for candidates with a focus on development or project evaluation.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, monitoring and evaluation, or a related field. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of development projects, is highly desirable. Familiarity with UNDP's operations and procedures will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of local languages spoken in Ethiopia would be an advantage, as it would facilitate communication with local stakeholders and communities.

Additional Notes:
This position is offered as an individual contractor role, and the contract duration will be specified upon selection. The position is full-time, and candidates may be required to work on-site in Ethiopia. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and benefits may include health insurance and other allowances as per UNDP policies.
