Job Overview:
The OSCE Mission to Moldova is seeking qualified candidates for internships that will last between 2 to 6 months in both administrative and programmatic areas. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the daily operations of the OSCE and its mandate, develop professional skills, gain practical experience in a multinational environment, and connect with other young professionals. Internships are full-time, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, and are exclusively available to nationals of the Republic of Moldova. The start dates for selected candidates will be determined based on the needs of the hiring offices, and the total duration of internship at the OSCE is capped at 6 months for any individual.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns can expect to perform a variety of tasks across different departments, including: drafting research papers, policy reports, concept papers, and other written materials such as briefing papers, memos, talking points, speeches, documents, newsletters, and presentations; assisting in project management and implementation, including preparing project proposals and budgets, and compiling progress reports for donors; conducting thematic research, revising legal documents, preparing legal opinions, media monitoring, and conducting surveys or financial analyses; supporting communication-related events and outreach activities, such as updating websites, creating booklets and leaflets, and producing audio-visual content for social media; organizing events, meetings, regional workshops, press conferences, round-tables, and other conferences; attending meetings of OSCE decision-making bodies, taking minutes, drafting official records, and writing reports; supporting daily operational work in administrative departments such as human resources, financial services, supply chain management, travel management, and procurement activities; assisting senior managers with trip preparations, bilateral meetings, and country visits by compiling background documents, managing logistics, and communicating with various stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be under the age of 30 and in their final year of higher education at the graduate or postgraduate level, or within two years of graduation by the application deadline. They must be professionally fluent in English, Romanian, and Russian, both orally and in writing, and possess the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. High motivation, open-mindedness, and flexibility are essential, as is the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from diverse national, cultural, and religious backgrounds while upholding impartiality and objectivity. Candidates should also recognize the importance of integrating a gender perspective into their tasks and activities and be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to be in their final year of higher education at the graduate or postgraduate level or to have graduated within the last two years by the application deadline. This educational background is essential to ensure that interns have the necessary theoretical knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to the OSCE's work.

Experience:
While previous work experience in a relevant field is desirable, it is not mandatory. However, candidates with experience in a multilateral or multicultural environment will be viewed favorably. Organizational, multi-tasking, and analytical skills, as well as drafting skills, are also beneficial for this role.

Languages:
Candidates must be professionally fluent in English, Romanian, and Russian, both orally and in writing. This language proficiency is crucial for effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The OSCE does not provide any remuneration or cover expenses incurred by interns during their stay, nor does it reimburse travel expenses. Interns may participate in a group health insurance scheme at their own expense, while the OSCE will cover life and accident/disability insurance. The internship does not guarantee future employment with the OSCE.
