Job Overview: The Child Development Worker position is a permanent part-time role, requiring 5 hours of work per fortnight during NSW school terms, specifically on Fridays. The successful candidate will be part of the Play2Learn NSW team in Hay, contributing to the development and implementation of culturally appropriate play and learning experiences for children aged 0-5 years. The role also involves collaborating with the Play2Learn team and may require travel to the Wagga Wagga office for training approximately twice a year.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or have substantial demonstrated experience and knowledge in child development. Additionally, experience working with children aged 0-5 years and their families in a group setting is essential. Familiarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and/or culturally and linguistically diverse communities is also required, along with knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and the ability to use client management databases are necessary skills for this position.
