Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for several key tasks during their assignment, including:
Supporting the formulation of the evaluation approach paper (EAP) by contributing ideas and insights.
Compiling and reviewing documents and data to identify key development challenges for the selected country.
Summarizing ADB's country partnership strategies and the strategies of major development partners in the selected country.
Conducting portfolio analysis to assess performance and trends related to ADB's projects in the country.
Summarizing learning from relevant IED evaluations to inform future strategies.
Participating in meetings with ADB internal teams and external stakeholders involved in the evaluation process.
Performing additional tasks as needed to achieve the expected outcomes, as agreed upon with the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a master's degree or PhD program in social sciences or economics at a school in an ADB member country. They should possess academic knowledge of and/or a keen interest in international development cooperation. Strong analytical skills in both qualitative and quantitative research methods are essential. Experience in using AI for data analytics, document compilation, and reviews will be considered a strong asset.
