Job Overview: The Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships Consultant will be responsible for managing and facilitating partnerships with various stakeholders to enhance UNICEF's mission of protecting children's rights. This role requires the consultant to work remotely while ensuring timely delivery of specific outputs as per the agreed schedule. The consultant will need to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse partners, including government entities, NGOs, and private sector organizations. The position emphasizes the importance of strategic thinking and the ability to navigate complex partnership dynamics. The consultant will also be expected to contribute to the development of partnership strategies and frameworks that align with UNICEF's goals and objectives. Regular visits to the UNICEF office in New Delhi will be required for meetings and collaboration with the contract supervisor and other team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement partnership strategies that align with UNICEF's objectives and enhance collaboration with stakeholders.
Facilitate communication and engagement with various partners, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and provide recommendations for improvement.
Prepare reports and documentation related to partnership activities and outcomes.
Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and events to promote UNICEF's mission and engage stakeholders.
Ensure timely delivery of all contractual obligations and outputs as per the agreed schedule.
Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership initiatives with UNICEF's broader goals.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to partners as needed to enhance their capacity to support children's rights.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in partnership development and management, particularly in the context of humanitarian or development work.
Strong understanding of child rights and the challenges faced by disadvantaged children globally.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with UNICEF's mission and values, as well as the global landscape of child rights advocacy.
Educational Background: A Master's degree in international relations, social sciences, public policy, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in project management or partnership development would be an asset.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in partnership management, stakeholder engagement, or related fields is required. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in the context of child rights or humanitarian work, is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Hindi or other regional languages, is considered an asset and would enhance the candidate's ability to engage with local stakeholders effectively.
Additional Notes: The consultancy contract is for a duration of 21 months and is primarily remote/home-based, with occasional visits to the UNICEF office in New Delhi for meetings. The consultant is expected to manage their own time and ensure the timely submission of deliverables as per the agreed schedule.
