You will report to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director of Strategy, Planning, & Management and work closely with the USP President and other leadership team members. Your responsibilities will include building internal communication capabilities that enhance organizational effectiveness and ensure that employees are connected to the foundation's mission and priorities. This role is pivotal in shaping the narrative around the foundation's strategic direction and ensuring that communication is dynamic, inclusive, and responsive to employee needs.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will include leading the development and execution of a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with USP's mission and values. You will advise the US Leadership Team on effective communication practices, ensuring authenticity and compassion in messaging. Additionally, you will define and curate internal stories that promote optimism and trust within the organization. You will manage the narrative surrounding the foundation's strategic goals leading up to 2045, which includes conducting surveys and holding office hours to gauge employee sentiment. Building internal communication channels and a master calendar will be essential to facilitate dynamic and inclusive communications. You will also ensure coherence between internal and external narratives by collaborating with various communication teams and analyzing employee feedback to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and have 5-10 years of relevant experience in strategic communications, operations, or related fields. A proven track record in leading communications strategies that foster organizational transformation and employee engagement, particularly during uncertain times, is essential. Experience in internal communications, including high-stakes messaging and leadership within complex organizations, is required. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in developing executive voice and crafting clear, inspiring narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
