Job Overview:
The Project Implementation Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of NRC's project portfolio, particularly focusing on legal protection and durable solutions for refugees and host communities. This position requires the individual to work independently within their core competence, ensuring that all activities align with NRC's policies and procedures. The officer will be responsible for organizing and delivering tasks according to established priorities and standards, while also developing a deep understanding of the specialist area of work. The role involves day-to-day project implementation at the field level, developing clear work plans, monitoring project performance, and engaging with project participants to ensure their views inform the design and implementation of responses. The officer will also contribute to the development of various reports and engage in relevant coordination forums to enhance project visibility and effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Project Implementation Officer include:

• Supporting the implementation of the project portfolio according to project proposals, work plans, and log frames.
• Organizing and delivering tasks in line with priorities and standards.
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of legal protection and durable solutions interventions.
• Preparing and developing status reports as required.
• Ensuring proper archiving of project documents.
• Promoting ideas for improvement in programming and project implementation.
• Liaising and collaborating with NRC colleagues, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
• Implementing projects focused on self-reliance, legal protection, and durable solutions.
• Conducting project-specific technical assessments and research, presenting recommendations, and adapting program implementation to needs and context. 1
• Actively participating in coordination forums and delivering technical training to stakeholders. 1
• Promoting safe and inclusive programming and protection mainstreaming. 1
• Documenting success stories and preparing visibility materials. 1
• Performing any other tasks assigned by the Programme Manager.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Project Implementation Officer position include:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the field of expertise.
• At least 2 years of experience managing legal protection or durable solutions projects in complex and volatile contexts.
• Familiarity with international refugee law and human rights law.
• Knowledge of SPHERE standards and other global humanitarian and protection standards.
• Previous experience working directly with displacement-affected populations.
• Documented technical competencies related to the position's responsibilities.
• Experience in proposal and report writing, along with excellent computer skills.
• Strong communication skills and project implementation skills.
• Ability to resolve individual and group conflicts. 1

Educational Background:
