Job Overview:
The Case Management Data Senior Specialist plays a crucial role within the Violence Prevention and Response Technical Unit (VPRU) of the IRC. This position is primarily focused on enhancing the quality and utilization of case management data and information management systems (IMS) across various IRC programs. The specialist will collaborate with technical leads to develop centralized guidance and protocols for case management IMS, support country teams in the implementation and training of the Primero digital platform, and conduct regular data analysis to inform decision-making. The role also involves engaging with global and country teams to gather feedback and troubleshoot issues, contributing to the overall strategy and learning discussions related to case management within the VPRU.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide centralized resources and support to ensure IRC teams have quality case management data systems and clear standards. This includes developing comprehensive resources to enhance understanding and practice of case management IMS, maintaining visibility on IMS status across countries, collecting feedback on IMS use, and ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
  • Offer direct technical support and administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration to country programs, including rollout and configuration of Primero and other IMS platforms, ongoing training for country program colleagues, and responding to information sharing requests.
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc analysis of case management data across protection streams, streamline measurement frameworks, and build capacity among technical advisors and country program colleagues to utilize data effectively.
  • Engage in strategic conversations regarding case management IMS, support the vision for case management systems, coordinate with internal teams, and represent IRC in external discussions related to case management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate specific experience with case management systems, particularly in the context of gender-based violence, child protection, or protection rule of law, ideally within humanitarian settings. Strong programmatic data collection, management, and analysis skills are essential, along with the ability to produce high-quality guidance documents. Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are crucial, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with diverse teams.

Educational Background:
A relevant degree in social sciences, data management, or a related field is typically required for this position. Advanced degrees or certifications in data analysis or information management may be preferred.

Experience:
The position requires a significant level of experience in case management systems and data analysis, particularly in humanitarian contexts. Candidates should have a proven track record of working with programmatic data and possess strong analytical skills to support the role's responsibilities effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Arabic is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's suitability for the role.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in an IRC office that is willing to host HQ staff, with a standard office work environment and potential international travel of up to 15%. Compensation varies based on factors such as labor market conditions, job type, and individual candidate experience. The US pay range for this role is between $83,000 and $90,000, while the UK pay range is between £51,470 and £60,04
