Job Overview: The position involves providing assistance in training, coaching, and monitoring trainers of the Juego Limpio Program across various municipalities. The consultant will be responsible for coordinating the integral training component of the program, ensuring that the methodology is effectively implemented and that it reflects in the behavior of the children and adolescents involved. The role requires collaboration with the National Directorate to ensure ongoing monitoring mechanisms are in place for the training component. The consultant will also develop training proposals and strategies to strengthen community social ties, contributing to the overall success of the program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the activities of the integral training component of the Juego Limpio program in all municipalities where it will be implemented.
Organize training sessions for municipal trainers and promoters from the Ministry of Culture and Sports using the Juego Limpio methodology.
Monitor the implementation of the methodology focusing on values and life skills, ensuring it is reflected in the behavior of the beneficiary children and adolescents.
Collaborate with the National Directorate to ensure ongoing monitoring of the integral training component.
Develop training and updating proposals for operational staff involved in the program.
Design proposals to strengthen community social ties.
Prepare detailed reports on the execution and qualitative and quantitative progress of the program, including statistical data and analysis of the implementation.
Ensure timely delivery of all expected products as outlined in the project timeline.
Required Qualifications:
Technical sports education (football coach) in physical education and sports.
Valid certification as a high-level coach (Pro license) from the national football federation of Guatemala.
Technical and methodological experience in football coaching for children, adolescents, and youth in vulnerable contexts.
Knowledge of national and international sports discipline rules and regulations.
Experience in consultancy with a focus on gender and cultural relevance.
Skills in using technological tools for performance tracking and analysis.
Knowledge of the Juego Limpio methodology and its application in training.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a technical degree in sports education, specifically in football coaching, along with a valid high-level coaching certification from the national football federation. This educational background is essential to ensure that the consultant has the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement the program's training components.
Experience: The position requires substantial experience in football coaching, particularly with children and youth in vulnerable situations. Candidates should have a proven track record of working in similar roles, demonstrating their ability to apply technical and methodological knowledge in practical settings. Experience in consultancy roles that involve working with children and youth, particularly with a focus on gender and cultural relevance, is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as all training and documentation will be conducted in this language. Knowledge of English is considered an asset but is not required for this position.
Additional Notes: The contract duration and specific terms will be outlined in the agreement with UNICEF. The consultant will be expected to deliver products within specified timelines, with penalties for late submissions. Payment conditions will be based on the acceptance of deliverables, and UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment if standards are not met.
