Job Overview:
The Data Performance Consultant is responsible for delivering validated, high-quality data science products that are integrated into organizational planning, performance management, and decision-making processes. The role involves designing and maintaining analytical models, KPIs, interactive dashboards, automated reporting tools, and compelling data visualizations. The consultant will work closely with the Chief of Operations and other team members to support initiatives of UNOP, ensuring that data-driven insights are effectively communicated and utilized to enhance the organization's impact. The position requires a strong focus on data analysis, visualization, and the development of predictive models to support the evaluation of partnership programs and contribute to the overall mission of the UN Partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Data Performance Consultant will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including: studying and evaluating new and existing data sources for effectiveness and accuracy; leading data analysis and visualization efforts; collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets; performing advanced data analysis to identify trends and anomalies; creating interactive dashboards in Power BI; designing predictive data science products; analyzing complex datasets for actionable insights; developing and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); supporting program evaluations through performance data analysis; preparing high-quality reports and evaluation summaries; engaging in complex research and analysis; coordinating with functional teams to implement models; ensuring data accuracy and consistency; automating reporting templates; and performing other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in data science, computer science, information management, statistics, public administration, public information, management, or a related field. A first-level university degree combined with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in data science, data analytics, applied mathematics, information management, or a related area. Proven experience in leading advanced data analysis, automation, and visualization is required, along with experience in developing predictive or analytical data science products and designing, tracking, and evaluating KPIs and performance frameworks. Proficiency in using CRM systems is also desired.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as data science, computer science, information management, statistics, public administration, public information, management, or a related area. Candidates with a first-level university degree may be considered if they have sufficient qualifying experience that compensates for the lack of an advanced degree.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in fields related to data science, data analytics, applied mathematics, or information management. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in leading advanced data analysis, automation, and visualization projects, as well as experience in developing predictive or analytical data science products. Experience in designing, tracking, and evaluating KPIs and performance frameworks is also essential for this role.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position, as it is one of the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Knowledge of another official United Nations language, such as French, is desirable and would be considered an asset for candidates applying for this role.
