Job Overview: The position of National Contractor for Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) involves supporting and facilitating the TNA process specifically related to climate change adaptation sectors. The contractor will work under the direct supervision of the TNA Coordinator and will provide technical services on a part-time basis for assessing technology needs in Mongolia. The role includes the development of a portfolio of technologies for the agriculture and forest sectors, as well as the preparation of comprehensive reports such as the TNA report, Barrier Analysis and Enabling Framework (BA&EF) report, and Technology Action Plan (TAP) report. The contractor will engage in stakeholder consultations, organize workshops, and collaborate with various stakeholders to identify and prioritize technologies for adaptation. Duties and Responsibilities: The contractor will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including:
Organizing consultative stakeholder meetings and workshops for TNA validation, BA&EF validation, and TAP validation.
Identifying and prioritizing technologies for the agriculture and forest sectors through a participatory process involving relevant stakeholders.
Facilitating the establishment of sectorial working groups and identifying institutions for data support.
Collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information to prepare technology fact sheets for the identified sectors.
Leading discussions with stakeholder groups on the implementation of prioritized technologies and addressing barriers to implementation.
Preparing and finalizing the TNA, BA&EF, and TAP reports, incorporating stakeholder inputs.
Providing additional inputs as required by the TNA Coordinator and UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre.
Utilizing best practices and methodologies from UNEP and other approved sources to ensure high-quality outputs.
Conducting field trips and attending training and capacity-building workshops as necessary.

A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required for candidates with a bachelor's degree, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience for those with a master's degree.
