Job Overview:
The Operations Analyst position at the World Bank in Brasilia is designed for an energetic and high-performing candidate with substantial operational experience. This role involves working closely with the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director, Operations Manager, and other team members to ensure strategic focus and consistency across the work program. The Operations Analyst will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing operational issues, preparing briefings, and developing proposals. The position requires strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, to support the design and implementation of Country Engagement products and assess strategic issues related to the broader country developments and the World Bank Group's Jobs agenda. The Operations Analyst will also engage with clients across sectors, deepening relationships and supporting problem-solving efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operations Analyst will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including supporting the design and implementation of Country Engagement products such as the Country Partnership Framework (CPF), Performance and Learning Review (PLR), Systematic Country Diagnostic (SCD), and Policy Notes. The analyst will participate in providing data and analytical input for strategic activities, assist in country program management, and contribute to quarterly reviews and progress reporting. Additionally, the analyst will support operational work in Brazil, analyze and monitor portfolio performance, ensure compliance with corporate priorities, and prepare regular analyses of the portfolio. The role also involves supporting task teams, preparing country reports and briefings, and maintaining up-to-date information on projects and results. The Operations Analyst will be expected to travel within Brazil as necessary to support operational teams.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in relevant fields such as Economics, Social Sciences, Business Studies, Finance, Law, Political Science, or International Relations. A minimum of two years of relevant operational experience with the World Bank or a comparable institution is required, ideally in an operational or advisory role. Candidates should have an in-depth understanding of Brazil's political economy and client needs, proven analytical and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with operations issues. Strong communication skills in both English and Portuguese are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a Master's degree in a relevant field. This could include disciplines such as Economics, Business Studies, Finance, Political Science, or International Relations, which are pertinent to the World Bank's mission and operations.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant operational experience, ideally with the World Bank or a similar institution.
