Job Overview: The Operations Analyst position at the World Bank in Brasilia is designed for an energetic and high-performing candidate with substantial operational experience. Duties and Responsibilities: The Operations Analyst will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including supporting the design and implementation of Country Engagement products such as the Country Partnership Framework (CPF), Performance and Learning Review (PLR), Systematic Country Diagnostic (SCD), and Policy Notes. The analyst will participate in providing data and analytical input for strategic activities, assist in country program management, and contribute to quarterly reviews and progress reporting. Additionally, the analyst will support operational work in Brazil, analyze and monitor portfolio performance, ensure compliance with corporate priorities, and prepare regular analyses of the portfolio. The role also involves supporting task teams, preparing country reports and briefings, and maintaining up-to-date information on projects and results. The Operations Analyst will be expected to travel within Brazil as necessary to support operational teams.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in relevant fields such as Economics, Social Sciences, Business Studies, Finance, Law, Political Science, or International Relations. A minimum of two years of relevant operational experience with the World Bank or a comparable institution is required, ideally in an operational or advisory role. Candidates should have an in-depth understanding of Brazil's political economy and client needs, proven analytical and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with operations issues. Strong communication skills in both English and Portuguese are essential, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
