Job Overview:
The UNOPS LICA7 position is designed for individuals who possess a deep understanding of the operational environment of UNHCR in Cameroon, particularly in relation to the challenges faced in refugee settings. The role emphasizes the importance of navigating the humanitarian-development nexus, which involves integrating humanitarian assistance with long-term development strategies. The selected candidate will be expected to manage project risks effectively and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for the UNOPS LICA7 position include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments of the operational environment to identify risks and challenges associated with refugee settings.
• Developing and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
• Ensuring quality assurance processes are in place and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborating with UNHCR and other stakeholders to align project objectives with broader humanitarian and development goals.
• Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to relevant parties.
• Facilitating training and capacity-building initiatives for local partners and stakeholders.
• Preparing detailed reports and documentation related to project activities and outcomes.
• Engaging in continuous learning and adaptation of best practices in project management and risk assessment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of the UNHCR operational environment in Cameroon, particularly regarding refugee settings. Additionally, experience in project risk management and quality assurance is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required to effectively convey project objectives and outcomes.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is essential for this position. Candidates should ideally hold a degree in fields such as international relations, development studies, project management, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or humanitarian assistance will be considered an asset.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have substantial experience in project management, particularly within the humanitarian sector. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is preferred, with a focus on risk management and quality assurance in complex project environments. Languages:
