Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Strategic Implementer include:
  • Advancing strategic research projects aimed at generating and utilizing evidence within the humanitarian sector.
  • Supporting the design and quality assurance of research projects, ensuring they meet high standards of excellence.
  • Project managing and contributing to the content of strategic research and innovation initiatives, including resource mobilization and implementation.
  • Developing prototypes and drafts for discussion with stakeholders and internal experts.
  • Engaging with a diverse research team to foster a shared mission and uphold research quality standards.
  • Providing technical support through peer reviews and capacity building within the research team.
  • Leading the structure and content for team meetings and events, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Supporting policy engagement and thought leadership efforts by synthesizing high-impact findings and generating content for internal and external communications.
  • Facilitating the Senior Director of Research's engagement with strategy and evidence to advance IRC's program priorities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Strategic Implementer position must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant work experience is required, preferably within the NGO sector, with specific experience in humanitarian organizations being a distinct advantage. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in planning, leading, and delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects in humanitarian or development contexts. Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative social science and health research is essential, and experience in humanitarian and/or impact research is a bonus. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills are necessary, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
