Job Overview:
The Technical Support Officer will play a crucial role in providing technical support to the IBG thematic program, specifically aimed at enhancing the capabilities of border management authorities in Mauritania. This position requires the incumbent to work under the supervision of the Chief of Mission and the Projects Manager, contributing to the strategic development and implementation of human rights and protection approaches for migrants in the country. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Technical Support Officer will be tasked with a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: planning and coordinating project activities related to Immigration and Border Governance (IBG); managing and supervising the IBG team in Selibaby; drafting documentation such as strategic documents, cooperation plans, and intervention notes; monitoring and analyzing the national and regional context in the field of IBG; delivering presentations and training modules to beneficiaries; overseeing budgetary, administrative, and technical aspects of the program; supporting procurement processes and rehabilitation projects; coordinating capacity-building activities for government agencies and stakeholders; enhancing coordination with governmental entities, embassies, and UN agencies; supervising and providing technical support to project staff; and performing any other tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
