Job Overview: The Senior Security Guard plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of FAO staff, visitors, premises, and assets. The Senior Security Guard is responsible for a variety of routine duties that contribute to the overall security framework of the organization. Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Security Guard's duties include but are not limited to: receiving personal documents and issuing building passes and parking permits; responding to routine inquiries and providing information or redirecting as appropriate; maintaining up-to-date directories; receiving and logging mail after normal business hours; leading patrols in assigned areas, including parking areas; detaining and accompanying individuals acting unlawfully to the Security Supervisor; controlling entry to FAO premises by verifying building passes; ensuring security measures are observed at entrances/exits; maintaining continuous surveillance against fire, water leakage, and dangerous objects; performing prescribed safety measures; receiving VIP visitors and providing appropriate security assistance; managing lost and found items; monitoring the internal alarm system and surveillance cameras; alerting emergency staff as needed; and performing other related duties as required. The Senior Security Guard's actions directly impact the safety and security of the clients served and the overall work unit.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a secondary school education and have a minimum of four years of experience with a national or international police force, armed forces, a private security organization, fire brigade, or security service of a large organization. Experience in a position requiring high security, confidentiality, and total integrity is essential. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of English and Italian, as well as basic IT skills, including knowledge of MS Office applications and office technology equipment.
