Job Overview: The position of Multi-sectoral Project Manager (RP Multi sectoriel) involves the effective implementation of project activities and the achievement of objectives defined in project proposals. The individual in this role will supervise operational teams assigned to their program and ensure the quality and proper execution of the SAME and/or EHA programs. They will be responsible for administrative, financial, and logistical management of the project while adhering to security plans established for the mission. The Multi-sectoral Project Manager will also handle reporting on the activities of various projects and represent SI in external communications related to SAME or EHA themes with local partnerships, including working groups and technical meetings. The role requires a proactive approach to strengthen team capacities, develop intervention methodologies for new activities, enhance community participation, and ensure accountability to beneficiaries. Additionally, the manager will represent SI in thematic group meetings and contribute to the development of future multi-sectoral project proposals. The position also entails implementing programs in volatile security contexts, which are continuously deteriorating.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Multi-sectoral Project Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
Implementing project activities effectively and achieving defined objectives.
Supervising operational teams assigned to the program.
Ensuring the quality and proper execution of the SAME and/or EHA programs, proposing adjustments or developments as necessary.
Managing the administrative, financial, and logistical aspects of the project while adhering to security plans.
Reporting on project activities and outcomes.
Representing SI in external communications related to SAME or EHA themes.
Strengthening team capacities, particularly in emergency response.
Developing methodologies for new activities.
Improving community participation and accountability to beneficiaries. 1

Implementing programs in security-sensitive areas, adapting strategies as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree (Bac+5) in EHA/WASH, Food Security, Public Health, Rural Development, or humanitarian project management, with proven experience in implementing and coordinating multi-sectoral EHA/SAME/Nutrition projects. A degree in engineering or a specialized master's in humanitarian action is an asset. Candidates should have 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 0-2 years in a similar position. Technical skills required include multi-sectoral needs analysis, knowledge of EHA/WASH fundamentals, familiarity with SAME interventions, and understanding of humanitarian nutrition basics. Candidates should also have skills in monitoring and evaluation (MEAL), budget management, and financial planning.
Educational Background: A Master's degree (Bac+5) in relevant fields such as EHA/WASH, Food Security, Public Health, Rural Development, or humanitarian project management is required. A degree in engineering or a specialized master's in humanitarian action is considered an advantage.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 0-2 years in a similar role. This experience should include implementing and coordinating multi-sectoral projects in EHA/SAME/Nutrition.
Languages: Fluency in French (spoken and written) is mandatory. Knowledge of local languages and English is considered a plus.
Additional Notes: The position is based in Natitingou, Benin, under a short-term contract. The estimated budget for the mission is 2 million euros for 2025, with a similar goal for 202
The salary is based on experience, starting from EUR 1980 gross per month, plus a monthly per diem of 460,000 FCFA (approximately 700 euros). SI covers housing costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the assignment location. A break system is in place, allowing for 7 working days off every three months, with additional rest days accrued. Expatriates receive comprehensive health insurance covering medical expenses, including dental and optical care, as well as necessary vaccinations and malaria treatment. The living conditions in Natitingou are satisfactory, with access to essential goods and services, and the base is equipped with necessary facilities for expatriate staff.
