Job Overview: The Senior Operations Assistant position is integral to the Papua New Guinea Resident Mission (PNRM) within the Pacific Department (PARD) of ADB. The role involves providing essential operational and analytical support for various activities within the division, including project processing and implementation, project monitoring, and information consolidation. The Senior Operations Assistant will also be responsible for administrative support to designated international staff and senior national staff. Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Operations Assistant will undertake a variety of duties, including but not limited to: arranging and administering travel for the Board of Directors and ADB staff through the Concur travel system; assisting international staff and senior national staff with scheduling and daily functions; managing logistics for visas, work permits, and other requirements for staff and consultants; facilitating mission clearance requests; reviewing and editing project and technical assistance processing documents; ensuring compliance with ADB standards in project documentation; preparing initial project records in e-Operations and Sovereign Operations systems; providing backup support to project analysts; assisting in the preparation of annual project administration plans; maintaining project files; developing and maintaining documentation systems and databases; and performing other tasks as assigned by supervisors. This comprehensive set of responsibilities ensures that the Senior Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in the operational success of the division.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Senior Operations Assistant position must possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, social sciences, business studies, or a related field.
