The position of Online Volunteer is crucial for the successful implementation of a Virtual Side Event hosted by Think Tank AlterContacts, which is scheduled for February 6, 202
  • This event aims to engage youth in discussions about sustainable development beyond traditional economic measures like GDP. Volunteers will play a key role in facilitating breakout sessions, ensuring that all participants have a voice, and capturing valuable insights. The event is expected to attract 300-400 participants, and the volunteers will help manage approximately 80 to 100 breakout rooms, each consisting of 3-5 participants. This role is not only about logistical support but also about fostering an inclusive environment where young voices can contribute to shaping future policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Online Volunteers will be responsible for facilitating breakout rooms during the Virtual Side Event. Their specific duties include: 1) Introducing participants within their breakout room to create a welcoming atmosphere; 2) Reminding participants of the key questions to be discussed, ensuring focus and relevance; 3) Ensuring that every participant has equal opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions; 4) Taking detailed notes of the discussions, insights, and observations shared by participants, which will be vital for post-event analysis and reporting. Volunteers will need to be proactive in managing discussions and ensuring that the event runs smoothly.

Required Qualifications:
