Job Overview: The Chief WASH position is a critical role within UNICEF, responsible for managing and supervising all stages of the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) program. This includes strategic planning, formulation, and the delivery of outcomes and results. The Chief WASH will lead and manage the Country Office WASH team, ensuring that all objectives are met according to established plans and methodologies. Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide managerial leadership for the WASH program, ensuring effective planning and implementation of initiatives.
Develop and manage WASH programs, monitoring progress and delivering results in line with UNICEF's objectives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, sanitary engineering, or a related technical field. Additional relevant post-graduate courses that complement the main degree are also required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of WASH-related issues and possess the ability to lead teams effectively to achieve results.

Experience in humanitarian situations, including at least one three-month mission deployment with UN, government, or international NGOs, is also required. Proven leadership skills and the ability to deliver results in challenging environments are essential.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is considered an asset, enhancing communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
