Duties and Responsibilities: The Driver will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
Providing reliable and secure driving services for the transport of authorized personnel, ensuring timely delivery and collection of mail, documents, and other items.
Meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport, assisting with visa and customs formalities as required.
Supporting office-related transportation needs, including the movement of equipment, furniture, and assisting with office relocations.
Managing and maintaining the office vehicle, performing minor repairs, and arranging for more extensive repairs when necessary.
Keeping the vehicle clean and in good working order by checking oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, and other essential components.
Logging official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, and maintenance activities such as oil changes and greasing.
Ensuring compliance with national laws and UNDP regulations in the event of an accident.
Maintaining an inventory of vehicle equipment and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security/communication equipment.
Following up on security rules and regulations, ensuring timely notifications for scheduled trips to obtain necessary security clearances. 1
Performing other duties as required by the Head of Admin Unit.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for the Driver position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Secondary Education is required.
A valid Driver’s license is mandatory.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a professional driver is required, with a proven safe driving record.
