Job Overview: The Head of Counter-Trafficking [Senior Project Coordinator] will play a crucial role in leading the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the Country Office’s counter-trafficking (CT) projects and activities. This position is focused on addressing labor exploitation and promoting fair working conditions for migrant workers, including ethical recruitment practices. The incumbent will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and compiling information related to counter-trafficking efforts, preparing narrative reports and presentations, and coordinating activities with various stakeholders, including governmental agencies and international organizations. The role requires maintaining sound working relationships with donors and facilitating information exchange on operational aspects of CT projects. Additionally, the Head of Counter-Trafficking will coordinate budget expenditures and financial reports, prepare project proposals, and conduct capacity-building events such as trainings and workshops. The position demands active participation in official meetings and events, providing technical support to Country Office staff, and responding to complex inquiries regarding CT workflows and operational processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the Country Office’s CT projects and activities related to labor exploitation and ethical recruitment.
Collect, analyze, and compile information, preparing narrative reports and presentations on CT and IOM's work.
Coordinate relevant activities with the Regional Thematic Specialist at SRO Brussels and RO Vienna, as well as with other IOM Country Offices.
Maintain working contacts with donors, governmental agencies, and international organizations relevant to CT and labor exploitation.
Facilitate information exchange on operational aspects of CT projects and related activities.
Coordinate with the Resource Management Unit in preparing budget expenditures and financial reports.
Prepare CT project proposals and contribute to other protection-related proposals.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct capacity-building events, including trainings and workshops.
Participate in official meetings, seminars, and conferences. 1

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma with seven years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in international relations, politics, social science, geography, or a related field from an accredited institution with five years of relevant experience.
Proven experience in counter-trafficking and migrant protection.
Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities, as well as national and international institutions.
Experience in humanitarian programs for migrants, capacity-building activities, and project coordination.
Familiarity with financial and business administration procedures, including IOM and EU financial rules and regulations.
High level of computer literacy, particularly in MS Office applications.
Previous work experience in international organizations is an advantage.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess either a High School diploma with seven years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as international relations, politics, social science, or geography from an accredited academic institution, accompanied by five years of relevant experience.
