The organization executes projects aimed at child protection, health, social inclusion, and education, supported by operations, fundraising, communications, and monitoring & evaluation areas. In recent years, UNICEF Colombia has been actively fundraising through corporate donor channels, establishing long-term relationships with companies to secure funding for various programs in education, health, nutrition, protection, water and sanitation, and emergencies. Currently, UNICEF Colombia has established relationships with 28 companies, with a significant opportunity to increase partnerships and long-term revenue. The corporate partnerships area aims for sustainable double-digit growth, solidifying its role as a strategic ally for private companies in Colombia and as a rapidly growing office in Latin America.
Job Overview: The position of Voluntario ONU involves supporting the Corporate Fundraising Associate in various tasks aimed at enhancing fundraising efforts and strengthening relationships with current partners. The volunteer will be responsible for identifying opportunities for generating increased revenue with existing allies, preparing and presenting proposals focused on developing new fundraising opportunities, and monitoring the implementation of marketing campaigns. The role also includes supporting the launch of campaigns, sponsorships, and events with current allies, as well as nurturing relationships through telemarketing campaigns and analyzing results. The volunteer will assist in creating a work plan that includes meeting agendas, report preparation, and follow-up on commitments. Additionally, the volunteer will help design and execute communication journeys with each ally, coordinate promotional activities, and maintain updated information in the CRM system. The position requires a positive attitude, teamwork, and openness to feedback, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Voluntario ONU will carry out the following tasks:
Acquisition: Identify opportunities for generating greater revenue with current allies; prepare and present proposals focused on developing new fundraising opportunities; monitor the implementation of marketing campaigns (both offline and online); support the design and development of communication materials; assist in launching campaigns, sponsorships, and events with current allies.
Nurturing: Monitor telemarketing campaigns, shared branding, and analyze results; support the development of a work plan that includes meeting agendas, report preparation, and follow-up on commitments; assist in designing, executing, and analyzing communication journeys with each ally; coordinate promotional activities such as webinars and events; contribute new ideas for engagement and persuasion with the target audience; maintain updated contact information and proposals in the CRM; prepare monthly follow-up reports; collaborate with other areas to create final implementation reports for campaigns; maintain a positive attitude and promote teamwork and integration with other office areas; perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be proactive in identifying opportunities, and have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A good understanding of fundraising strategies and marketing principles is essential. The candidate should also demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment, with a commitment to UNICEF's mission and values.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, communications, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred. Additional training or certifications in fundraising, marketing, or project management would be advantageous.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or a related field. Experience working with non-profit organizations or in corporate partnerships is highly desirable. Familiarity with CRM systems and fundraising software is a plus.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset.
Additional Notes: This is a national volunteer assignment, and the volunteer will be responsible for securing their own housing and living essentials. The position is based in Bogotá DC, which is considered to have a low-risk level for living and working, with favorable living conditions for all staff. Volunteers are expected to adapt to potentially adverse conditions and may need to travel within the operational area as required. The role is full-time, and the volunteer will be part of the insurance plan against intentional damage.
