Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Project Support Associate include:
  • Supporting the CBI intervention for IOM Syria mission and providing technical support on project activities and objectives.
  • Participating in situational analysis, needs assessment, targeting, and distribution related to cash projects.
  • Drafting and developing standard operating procedures for cash projects and formulating program tools and methodologies.
  • Assisting the Shelter and WASH Officer in implementing cash activities effectively and providing capacity-building support to field staff.
  • Supporting the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit in conducting activities related to cash projects, particularly managing the Accountability to Affected Populations response mechanism.
  • Drafting concept notes, project narratives, work plans, and other project-related documents in coordination with relevant units.
  • Acting as the focal point for administrative and technical aspects of CBI, liaising with other units and external partners.
  • Contributing to drafting relevant project reports, including assessment reports and project progress reports.
  • Coordinating regularly with colleagues to implement project plans and ensure optimal utilization of project budgets. 1

  • Participating in Cash Working Group meetings and coordinating activities with local authorities and stakeholders. 1

Required Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Political Science, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or
  • Completed High School from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience.

  • Experience working in humanitarian settings and liaising with governmental authorities and NGOs.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with databases, assessment tools, and reporting.
