Job Overview:
The position of Digital Photographer is crucial for the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Riyadh, which is tasked with documenting high-level meetings and events. The photographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality images that serve as media assets to promote the UN's initiatives and activities during significant visits. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure, ensuring that all captured images meet the UN's standards for quality and relevance. The photographer will collaborate closely with the Communication Team to ensure that the visual narrative aligns with the UN's mission and messaging.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Digital Photographer include:

• Attending high-level meetings and events as directed by the Communication Team lead.
• Capturing a minimum of 10 high-resolution photographs per event, ensuring that all images are of professional quality.
• Editing and processing photographs to meet the UN's specifications for media use.
• Collaborating with the Communication Team to understand the specific requirements for each event and the desired outcomes for the media assets.
• Delivering all photographs in a timely manner, adhering to deadlines set by the Communication Team.
• Maintaining an organized archive of all photographs taken for easy retrieval and use in future communications.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Additionally, a minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in photography is required. All applicants must submit a copy of their educational certificate, and incomplete applications will not be considered. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, along with a strong commitment to the UN's values and principles.

Educational Background:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is the minimum educational requirement for this position. Candidates must provide proof of their educational qualifications as part of the application process.

Experience:
The position requires at least 1 year of professional experience in photography. This experience should include working in a fast-paced environment, capturing images for media or public relations purposes, and familiarity with editing software to enhance and prepare photographs for publication.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic is mandatory for this position, as it is essential for effective communication within the context of the UN's operations in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, knowledge of English is desirable, as English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency is defined as being able to speak, read, write, and understand the language at a high level, while knowledge indicates a confident ability in at least two of the four areas.

The position is for a short-term contract expected to last for 4 days, specifically for the duration of high-level visits.
