Job Overview: The Analyst position at WJCF is designed for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who will support the Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, and Newborn Health (SRMNH) program. This role involves working closely with government stakeholders and internal teams to enhance data-driven decision-making and generate insights that will inform program implementation. The Analyst will be responsible for preparing high-quality program materials and analyses, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets. The position encompasses a variety of tasks, including the development of dashboards and reports, conducting research, and synthesizing information into actionable recommendations. The Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting both SRH and Maternal and Child Health (MNCH) domains, contributing to the overall goal of improving health outcomes across India.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Analyst will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Providing analytical and programmatic support across SRMNH initiatives by cleaning, validating, and analyzing data from various health information systems.
Developing and maintaining dashboards, scorecards, and monitoring tools to track program performance.
Conducting primary and secondary research, including desk reviews and stakeholder interviews, to identify gaps in service delivery.
Supporting monitoring and evaluation activities by designing tools and frameworks to assess intervention impact.
Synthesizing quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable recommendations and communication materials.
Contributing to project management by coordinating implementation plans and ensuring compliance.
Engaging with stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and support strategic initiatives.
Assessing supply chain dynamics for SRH and MNCH products and supporting strategies to improve access.
Testing innovative service delivery models and digital health interventions. 1
Providing operational support for meetings and documentation of program activities. 1
Assisting in scoping new opportunities and developing proposals in SRMNH and related areas.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as public health, economics, or management with at least 1 year of experience. A high level of technical proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential, and experience with advanced analytical tools is a plus. Candidates should be able to synthesize a broad range of information and prepare compelling presentations and reports. Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Hindi are required, along with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with the Indian public health system and experience working with government stakeholders will be advantageous.
Educational Background: The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as public health, administration, economics, social work, sociology, or management. A postgraduate degree in a related area is preferred, particularly for candidates with less work experience. The educational background should provide a solid foundation for understanding health systems and program implementation.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience for those with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 1 year of experience for those with a postgraduate degree. Experience in public health, program management, or related fields is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Indian health system and experience working with government stakeholders will be beneficial for this role.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory for this position. Strong written and oral communication skills in both languages are essential for effective collaboration and reporting. Additional language skills may be considered an advantage but are not required.
