Job Overview: The position of Line Management for Support Staff at the Area Field Office involves overseeing various support functions including Finance, HR & Admin, Logistics, ICT, and Humanitarian Access & security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security. The role is integral to the Area Management Team (AMT) and requires compliance with NRC policies, donor requirements, and adherence to operational guidelines. The individual in this position will provide input on operational support to the Area Strategy, ensuring that operational support aligns with program plans. This role also includes the implementation of new country-specific technical SOPs and guidelines, as well as the coordination of budgets and costs for shared functions within the Area Field Office. The position emphasizes the importance of training and development for staff, as well as collaboration with various stakeholders including government entities and other NGOs.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position are extensive and include: line management for support staff at the Area Field Office, ensuring compliance with NRC policies and donor requirements, providing operational support input to the Area Strategy, implementing new technical SOPs and guidelines, coordinating budgets and costs for shared functions, supporting staff training and development, collaborating with NRC stakeholders, completing regular reports for the Area Manager, promoting the rights of IDPs and returnees, facilitating access to beneficiaries, managing relationships with local authorities, assisting in the recruitment of support staff, overseeing timely recruitment processes, reporting violations of NRC’s personnel policies, acting as an area-level trainer for NRC Way Plus, ensuring accurate tracking of support information, securing supporting documentation, performing responsibilities of Security Focal Point in the absence of dedicated personnel, providing security induction for new recruits, contributing to the annual Southeast Area Security Risk Assessment, and establishing a positive working environment based on NRC values.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include a strong understanding of the context in Southeast Myanmar, particularly in the East Bagon and Kayah regions. Candidates should possess knowledge of Myanmar and other major ethnic languages spoken in Southeast Myanmar. Additionally, experience in similar positions within other organizations is essential, along with a background in training and capacity building of teams and staff. Familiarity with working alongside Civil Societies is also a valuable asset.
