Job Overview:
The logistics-officer" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Logistics Officer position is crucial for managing day-to-day logistics and procurement activities within a fast-paced operational environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational and coordination skills. This role requires a high level of integrity and professionalism, as the Logistics Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with organizational and donor regulations while effectively supporting program implementation through timely and efficient logistics services. The officer will implement delegated logistic functions according to the Plan of Action, conduct daily operational logistic activities, and support resource administration to achieve deliverables within set budgets, timelines, and standards. The position also involves developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed and ensuring proper documentation and filing of all support documents.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Officer will be accountable for the entire procurement process, ensuring it aligns with NRC handbooks, SOPs, and donor regulations. Specific responsibilities include maintaining an accurate supplier information database, preparing supporting documentation for procurement in accordance with NRC SOPs, and liaising with relevant program departments to keep all parties informed about supply deliveries. The officer will also be responsible for maintaining the Unit4 Procurement system, ensuring procurement files are complete for timely payments, and keeping an up-to-date Procurement Tracker that monitors the status of Purchase Orders, Purchase Requests, Contracts, and Waivers. Additionally, the officer will conduct regular follow-ups on logistics activities and support the development of SOPs as requested.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics or procurement management is required, along with documented results related to the responsibilities of the position. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts. Knowledge of logistics operations, procurement processes, asset management, and fleet management is also necessary, along with experience in compliance with organizational and donor requirements.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related field. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of logistics and procurement management within a humanitarian context.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in logistics or procurement management. Candidates should have a proven track record of working effectively in humanitarian or recovery contexts, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex and volatile environments while achieving results related to the position's responsibilities.

Languages:
The mandatory language requirements for this position include a professional level of English and Arabic. Knowledge of Hebrew is considered an asset, enhancing communication capabilities within the diverse operational environment.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Nablus and is classified as Grade (05) Step (01). The contract duration is for 6 months, with the possibility of renewal based on the needs of the position, available funding, and performance. The role is full-time, and the salary and benefits are based on the West Bank Duty Station.
