Job Overview:
The Project Team Member will play a crucial role in the 'Helios+: Comprehensive actions for the integration of third-country nationals into the labour market' project in the Region of Central Macedonia. This position requires close collaboration with national and local authorities, as well as experienced partners, to promote the integration of beneficiaries of international protection into Greek society. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the supervisor in coordinating the project team, ensuring a safe and equipped working environment, and monitoring the services provided by implementing partners. The role also involves assisting in the development of methodologies and tools for quality service provision, as well as reporting to senior management on project activities and outcomes. The candidate will be expected to represent the project in relevant meetings and enhance synergies with various stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the supervisor in coordinating and overseeing the work of the assigned project team.
  • Assist in organizing the workload and provide guidance, support, and instructions to the project team.
  • Ensure a properly equipped and safe working environment for the project team.
  • Monitor services provided by implementing partners and service providers.
  • Facilitate coordination and communication with implementing partners and service providers.
  • Assist senior management in donor reporting and project documentation.
  • Develop methodologies and create tools, materials, and standard operating procedures for project implementation.
  • Monitor the quality of services and project activities through physical verification and reporting.
  • Collect, verify, and update data and Means of Verification. 1
  • Communicate with other project components and relevant actors to ensure timely provision of project activities. 1
  • Submit reports and necessary information to senior management in a timely manner. 1
  • Represent the project in meetings with employers and other stakeholders as coordinated with senior management. 1
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or a university degree in education, finance, psychology, social work, law, international relations, human resources, management, business administration, political science, sociology, public administration, or related fields with a minimum of one year of work experience.
  • A Master’s degree in the above fields will be considered an advantage.
  • Computer literacy in standard software applications is required.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural environment is preferred.
  • Strong work ethics and commitment to humanitarian principles are essential.
  • A valid driver’s license with at least five years of driving experience is an advantage.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a high school degree with at least three years of relevant experience, or a university degree in a related field with a minimum of one year of work experience. A Master’s degree in relevant fields will be considered an advantage. Accredited universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

Experience:
At least one year of previous work experience is required for this position. Candidates should demonstrate a combination of knowledge, education, training, and skills necessary to perform the essential functions of the role. Experience in a multi-cultural environment is preferred, indicating the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

Languages:
Fluency in English and Greek (both written and oral) is required for this position. IOM’s official languages include English, French, and Spanish, and proficiency in these languages may be evaluated during the selection process, which could include written and/or oral assessments.

Additional Notes:
This position is subject to local recruitment, and only candidates holding a valid residence and work permit for Greece will be eligible for consideration. The appointment will be contingent upon certification of medical fitness, verification of residency, visa, and government authorizations where applicable.
