Job Overview:
The ERP Analyst position is a senior IT role that plays a crucial part in translating business needs into effective solutions on an ERP system, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft Fabric data and analytics platform. The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring the quality of end-to-end ERP delivery, which encompasses everything from requirements gathering and solution design to vendor quotations, oversight of the build process, testing, deployment, and ongoing operational support. The role is aligned with ITIL service management principles, CIMMYT governance, and security/compliance standards, making it essential for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the ERP system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The ERP Analyst will engage in various key responsibilities, including acting as the primary liaison between the ERP Team and the business community, primarily collaborating with Business Analysts. The analyst will partner with Functional Business Analysts and process owners to elicit, refine, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring that all business requirement documents (BRD) and functional requirement documents (FRD) are complete and aligned with CIMMYT’s IT architecture. The role also involves validating prerequisites and co-requisites before solution work begins and providing support to the ERP planning team in defining and updating the development plan. The analyst will decide on the delivery approach, review technical design artifacts for best practices adherence, and ensure that solutions leverage standard D365 capabilities while minimizing customizations. Additionally, the analyst will manage vendor quotations, support commercial negotiations, and lead technical transactions with vendors. Establishing structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) procedures, monitoring testing approaches, defining acceptance criteria, and conducting workshops for requirements gathering are also part of the responsibilities. The analyst will work closely with technical consultants for solution design and delivery, provide user acceptance testing (UAT) support, end-user training, and maintain system documentation. Furthermore, the analyst will collaborate with the Service Desk and Application Support teams to manage incidents, problems, and changes effectively, ensuring compliance with CIMMYT policies regarding security, data governance, and auditability.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. They should have more than 5 years of experience in ERP analysis and solution delivery, which includes requirements gathering, design validation, vendor management, testing, and deployment. The ideal candidate will have platform expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Fabric, as well as familiarity with SAP Concur. Strong knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, and agile/hybrid delivery methodologies is essential, along with understanding API/integration patterns, data modeling, and performance optimization. Governance knowledge, including security, role-based access control (RBAC), compliance, documentation standards, and change management, is also required. Additionally, candidates should possess soft skills such as stakeholder engagement, negotiation, analytical thinking, communication, and leadership.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding complex IT systems and their applications in a business context.

Experience:
The position requires more than 5 years of relevant experience in ERP analysis and solution delivery.
