Job Overview: The Survey Administration and Fieldwork Support Consultant (MICS) will play a crucial role in the implementation of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) in Armenia, which aims to provide up-to-date information on the situation of children, women, and men. This position involves providing hands-on administrative, logistical, and fieldwork support throughout the survey's implementation phases. The consultant will work under the guidance of UNICEF Armenia and in close collaboration with the National MICS Coordinator at ArmStat and the Survey Coordination Consultant. The role includes organizing meetings and trainings, preparing documentation, providing logistical arrangements for field activities, and participating in field monitoring visits. The consultant will not assume decision-making or technical leadership responsibilities but will support coordination and implementation efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Meetings and Stakeholder Engagement: Provide logistical support for Steering Committee and Technical Committee meetings, including preparation of meeting logistics, participant lists, agendas, and background materials. Take accurate meeting minutes and prepare summaries and action points.
Support Survey Planning and Workplan Management: Assist in keeping the MICS Armenia 2026 Survey Plan updated, tracking milestones and activities.
Support Questionnaire and Manual Customisation and Testing: Participate in meetings related to questionnaire customisation and assist in preparation of draft and final versions of questionnaires.
Training Support and Participation: Provide logistical support for training organisation and participate in training activities.
Household Listing and Mapping – Field Support and Monitoring: Participate in field monitoring visits and assist in documenting observations.
CAPI Testing, Pilots, and Main Fieldwork Support: Provide logistical support for CAPI testing and main data collection.
Monitoring, Documentation, and Fieldwork Reporting Support: Assist in preparing field visit notes and monitoring summaries.
Data Cleaning, Documentation, and Archiving of Fieldwork Materials: Support data verification and cleaning activities and assist in archiving fieldwork materials.
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in administrative, logistical, or operational support roles, particularly in surveys, research, or data collection activities. Familiarity with survey processes, including household listing and mapping, questionnaire testing, and CAPI-based data collection is an asset. Strong organisational, documentation, and time-management skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Experience: The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, particularly in roles that involve administrative, logistical, or operational support. Experience in supporting large-scale national surveys or complex programmes involving trainings and field activities is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in Armenian and English is required for this position, as the consultant will need to provide translation support and engage with stakeholders in both languages.
