Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Agriculture Specialist will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: leading the design and supervision of operation projects as Task Team Leader or core team member; providing technical guidance for agricultural food systems; contributing to advisory and analytical activities; engaging in strategic policy dialogue; integrating agriculture interventions into broader programs; representing the Agriculture and Food team at events; serving as a focal point for agriculture in Angola; responding to information requests; and mentoring team members. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a master's degree in agricultural and resource economics, agribusiness, agriculture, or a closely related discipline. Additionally, at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in agriculture, agribusiness, or food systems is required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong ability to identify problems and develop innovative solutions while maintaining a client-focused approach. Technical and analytical skills are essential, along with the capacity to lead discussions on policy reforms. Effective communication skills in English and Portuguese are mandatory, with the ability to produce high-quality documents and reports.
