Job Overview:
The WASH Programme Manager (PDM) position is crucial for overseeing the technical supervision, strategic direction, implementation, and quality assurance of NRC Sudan's WASH activities. The role involves mentoring staff and developing their capacities while ensuring adherence to NRC's standards and guidelines. The WASH PM will be responsible for planning and coordinating all WASH interventions, whether directly within the WASH Core Competency (CC) or as part of integrated approaches across other CCs. The position requires a proactive approach to program development, management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery to the most vulnerable populations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The WASH Programme Manager will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including ensuring adherence to NRC policies and procedures, managing quality program development, and overseeing project budgets and donor reports. The PM will implement technical direction to maintain high-quality standards across operational areas, ensuring that projects effectively target beneficiaries in need of protection. Responsibilities also include coordinating WASH project implementation, managing project staff, and ensuring capacity building within the team. The PM will gather and analyze WASH-related data to inform project proposals and advocate for necessary interventions. Additionally, the role involves managing logistics, finance, and human resources related to WASH projects, ensuring compliance with NRC systems and timely submission of financial forecasts. The PM will represent NRC in relevant forums and maintain strong relationships with local and national authorities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess at least four years of experience in development and/or humanitarian WASH programming, with a minimum of three years in a senior project management role. They should have documented results related to technical responsibilities, knowledge of protection mainstreaming, community engagement, and disaster risk reduction approaches. Familiarity with market analysis and cash-based interventions is essential. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required, typically including a degree in a field related to water, sanitation, hygiene, or a similar discipline. Advanced degrees or specialized training in humanitarian response or project management may be advantageous.

Experience:
The position requires significant experience in complex and volatile contexts, with a proven track record in needs assessment, project monitoring and evaluation, and program development. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse workloads effectively are essential.

Languages:
