Job Overview: The Counsel - Private Sector Investment & Treasury Operations position at AIIB is a critical role that involves providing legal and policy advice primarily related to the bank's finance and treasury operations. Duties and Responsibilities: The Counsel will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Providing high-quality legal and policy advice to the Finance (Treasury & Controller), Risk Management, and other departments on finance and treasury matters.
Developing and maintaining legal document templates to ensure compliance with best practices and applicable laws.
Coordinating with other multilateral development banks and development partners to enhance AIIB's finance and treasury operations.
Advising on the structuring of transactions, managing external legal counsel, and drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
Conducting legal research and presenting findings on various legal issues.
Promoting innovative approaches to legal processes and ensuring adherence to AIIB's internal legal framework.
Demonstrating accountability for work products and contributing to institutional initiatives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant post-qualification practice experience, ideally with some experience at a top-tier law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law firm. They should have an excellent command of English, particularly in drafting and negotiating legal documents. The ability to negotiate complex legal documents with various counterparties is essential.
