Job Overview:
The Field Office Team Leader position is crucial for overseeing the operational support functions at Rhino Camp, ensuring that all support tasks related to finance, HR/Admin, and logistics are executed efficiently. The role requires the individual to supervise support staff, maintain communication with the Country Office, and ensure compliance with NRC procedures. The Team Leader will also be responsible for preparing operational reports, managing office administration tasks, and supporting logistics processes. This position is designed for Ugandan nationals only, reflecting NRC's commitment to local employment and community engagement. The Team Leader will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the operational needs of the project teams are met while adhering to NRC's standards and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Field Office Team Leader include managing daily office operations at Rhino Camp, ensuring that functional support systems are in place for project teams. The Team Leader will oversee vehicle planning, fuel controls, generator usage, and office utilities. They will ensure timely submission of finance documents, payment requests, and monthly financial documentation to the Country Office. Additionally, the Team Leader will manage procurement plans, follow up with suppliers and vendors, and ensure the timely submission of HR-related support documents such as timesheets and attendance registers. The role also involves updating and maintaining inventory lists, stock cards, and asset registers, supporting small-scale distributions and trainings, facilitating field visits by Country Office staff or donors, and identifying operational issues for escalation to the Head of Support (HOS). The Team Leader will also support basic safety and security routines, although they will not be responsible for field-level security management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Field Office Team Leader position must possess a minimum of three years of experience in support functions such as finance, logistics, and administration within humanitarian or development settings. A Bachelor's degree in business administration is required, along with experience supervising staff or teams. Candidates should have a strong understanding of support procedures, including asset management, procurement basics, finance documentation, and HR procedures. Strong administrative and coordination skills are essential, as well as fluency in English. A Master's degree in business administration, logistics, accounting, or a related field is desired, along with experience working with remote teams and knowledge of the operational context in Uganda, particularly in the West Nile region.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Field Office Team Leader position includes a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory. The educational qualifications should reflect a strong foundation in business principles, logistics, and administrative practices, which are critical for effective performance in this role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience in support functions, particularly in humanitarian or development contexts. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in managing operational support tasks and supervising teams, which is essential for ensuring the smooth functioning of the office and support systems at Rhino Camp.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as effective communication is crucial for coordinating with various teams and stakeholders. While English is the primary language required, knowledge of local languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with local communities and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The Field Office Team Leader position is based at Rhino Base Camp and is offered as a national contract for a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension depending on funding availability.
