Job Overview:
The Grants and Partnerships Coordinator will play a pivotal role in leading DRC Türkiye’s grants and partnership unit, overseeing all processes related to grants and partnerships throughout the project cycle. This position requires a strategic mindset to develop and implement effective strategies for managing grants and partnerships, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and internal DRC guidelines. The Coordinator will serve as the main point of contact for compliance issues, donor reporting, and grants management, while also providing technical supervision to the grants and partnerships officer and partnerships officer. The role involves collaboration with various internal teams and partner organizations, focusing primarily on civil society organizations (CSOs), but also extending support to government institutions and the private sector as needed. The position is crucial for ensuring that DRC’s operations in Turkey align with the organization's broader mission and objectives, contributing to the development of country strategies and action plans that address the needs of affected populations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grants and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: coordinating the development of concept notes and proposals in collaboration with partner organizations and internal teams; ensuring alignment with DRC and donor strategies; leading proposal timelines and meetings; managing grants processes including modification requests; overseeing internal and external reporting to ensure compliance with donor requirements; maintaining the grants and report tracking system; leading the development and revision of DRC Türkiye’s partnerships and localization strategy; advocating for effective partnership management across all functions; conducting capacity development for staff and partners; facilitating partner participation in project design and assessments; monitoring partner progress and conducting visits; and ensuring that all partnership practices comply with DRC’s global policies and donor regulations. The role also involves exploring new partnership opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with local partners and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with a non-governmental organization (NGO), including at least 3 years of proven experience in grants and partnership management. A strong understanding of best practices in grants management, particularly in the protection and livelihood sectors, is essential. Candidates should have experience in stakeholder management, a deep understanding of the civil society operating environment in Turkey, and knowledge of legal and financial risks associated with partnership modalities. Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiation, and representation skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Candidates should also have advanced knowledge of project cycle management and experience in writing high-quality proposals for large donors.

Educational Background:
A master's degree in law, political science, international development, economics, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary theoretical foundation and analytical skills needed to navigate the complexities of grants and partnership management in a humanitarian context.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on grants and partnership management. Experience in capacity building of local civil society organizations is also essential. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of managing complex projects and working effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government entities and international donors.

Languages:
Full professional proficiency in English and Turkish is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an asset, as it may enhance communication with certain partner organizations and stakeholders in the region.

Additional Notes:
The position is based in Gaziantep, Turkey, with a contract length of 12 months. The role is classified under Band G1 – Non-Manager designation. The start date for this position is set for January 12, 202
