Job Overview:
The position involves the technical adaptation of methodologies related to business growth and impact measurement and management. The contractor will be responsible for training a defined group of strategic allies on the use of these methodologies. This role is crucial for enhancing the capacity of local partners and ensuring that they can effectively implement the methodologies in their respective contexts. The contractor will work closely with UNDP to ensure that the methodologies are tailored to meet the specific needs of the partners and the local environment. The assignment is expected to last for 172 effective working days within a total period of 240 calendar days, indicating a structured timeline for the completion of tasks and deliverables. The contractor will need to engage with various stakeholders and facilitate workshops or training sessions as part of the capacity-building efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of the existing methodologies 'Creciendo con su Negocio' and 'Medición y Gestión del Impacto' to identify areas for adaptation.
  • Collaborate with UNDP and local partners to customize the methodologies to fit the local context and needs.
  • Develop training materials and resources that effectively communicate the adapted methodologies.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions for strategic allies, ensuring that participants understand and can apply the methodologies in their work.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to partners during the implementation phase of the methodologies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the training and the application of the methodologies, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit reports on the progress of the assignment, including feedback from participants and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote the methodologies and encourage their adoption across various sectors.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in capacity building and training, particularly in the areas of business development and impact measurement.
  • Strong understanding of the methodologies related to business growth and impact management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt methodologies to different contexts and audiences.
  • Proficiency in project management and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with UNDP's mission and values, as well as its operational procedures.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, social sciences, international development, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree would be an advantage, particularly in areas related to development studies or business management.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in capacity building, training, or consultancy roles, particularly in the context of development projects. Experience working with UN agencies or similar organizations is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the training and methodologies will be delivered in this language. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with international stakeholders and resources.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration is for 172 effective working days within a total period of 240 calendar days. This position is classified as an individual contractor role, which may involve flexible working arrangements. The contractor will be expected to submit proposals directly through the UNDP supplier portal, and any inquiries for clarification must be submitted in writing via the portal's messaging functionality.
