Job Overview:
The Risk Management Analyst position is situated within the Treasury and Liquidity Risk Division of the Office of Risk Management at ADB. The role is crucial for providing analytical and technical support in assessing and reporting various counterparty credit risks associated with ADB's treasury operations. The analyst will be responsible for compliance monitoring, data validation, and generating reports that ensure the accuracy and integrity of risk management processes. This position also involves operational support to enhance the efficiency of division operations, refine workflows, and coordinate projects across the team. The analyst will play a key role in preparing treasury risk reports, conducting data integrity checks, and supporting IT projects related to risk management. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying risks and developing solutions, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively to senior management and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Risk Management Analyst will undertake a variety of duties, including:
  • Providing analytical and technical support for treasury and liquidity risk by preparing risk reports, monitoring counterparty credit risk exposures, and conducting data integrity checks.
  • Generating compliance and credit exposure reports, validating counterparty data from Bloomberg, and monitoring daily collateral balances.
  • Supporting IT projects related to risk management, including user acceptance testing and implementation of treasury risk management guidelines.
  • Contributing to ADB-wide risk reporting efforts, including preparing regular reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Providing operational support by contributing to the development of the division's work program and budget framework, managing workload distribution, and streamlining work processes.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned in accordance with the workplan, ensuring that all activities align with ADB's strategic priorities and operational goals.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, communications, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Bloomberg and experience in conducting research and data analysis are advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to collect, organize, and present information logically, as well as develop insights and solutions independently or collaboratively. Proficiency in written and verbal English is mandatory, and candidates are encouraged to refer to the ADB Competency Framework for TL3 for further guidance on the required competencies.

Educational Background:
The educational requirement for this position is a Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, communications, or a related field. This foundational education is essential for understanding the complexities of risk management and financial analysis within the context of ADB's operations.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. This experience should encompass roles that involve risk assessment, financial analysis, and compliance monitoring, ideally within a financial institution or similar environment. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing complex tasks and projects, demonstrating their ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, both written and verbal. This is essential for effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders. While English is the primary language required, knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to ADB's member countries.

This position is a fixed-term appointment for an initial period of 3 years, with the possibility of extension for up to 2 additional years based on ADB's needs and the employee's performance.
