Job Overview:
The Individual Contractor (IC) will provide essential financial and administrative support to the Financial Management Office (FMO) and the Mitigation Branch Admin Team within UNEP. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Individual Contractor include acting as the key point of contact for all legal agreements, managing the process of grant creation and amendments within the Umoja system, and supporting the legal agreement creation process between UNEP and its implementing partners. The IC will lead weekly meetings to ensure timely completion of legal agreements and provide administrative support to the IMEO team. Furthermore, the IC will maintain an Excel-based Umoja 2 tracker, manage the workflow of Program Management Assistants, oversee the financial reporting process, and ensure the maintenance of the branch database for all legal instruments. The IC will also respond to requests from auditors, provide training and support to the team, and assist in maintaining electronic and hard-copy files for all contracts and projects. Ad hoc support to the administrative team may also be required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education or its equivalent. A minimum of five years of work experience in accounting, finance, program or project administration, or a related area is required. Familiarity with UN financial documents and contracts is essential, and a background in finance is considered an asset. Proficiency in using SAP (Umoja), Excel, MS Office Suite, and database software is necessary. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are also required.
