Job Overview:

Interns will play a crucial role in the collection and management of data, ensuring its quality and consistency, and will be involved in statistical analyses, both quantitative and qualitative. The role also includes creating interactive dashboards and preparing summary reports for internal teams and partners. Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the intern include:
  • Data Collection and Management: Contributing to the design and testing of data collection tools such as ODK, Kobo, and MODA. Ensuring the quality and consistency of collected data.
  • Data Analysis: Performing statistical analyses, both quantitative and qualitative, to derive meaningful insights from data. Developing analysis plans for surveys to guide data interpretation.
  • Visualization and Reporting: Creating interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI and Tableau to present data findings effectively. Preparing concise summary reports for internal teams and external partners to communicate results and recommendations.
  • Technical Support: Assisting in the establishment of quality control protocols to ensure data integrity. Supporting the programming of forms and the effective management of data servers.
  • Collaboration: Working collaboratively with team members in a multicultural environment, contributing to a positive team dynamic and sharing knowledge and skills.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be students or recent graduates in fields such as statistics, data science, economics, computer science, or related disciplines. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, R, or SPSS is essential. Familiarity with mobile data collection tools like ODK and Kobo is required. A good understanding of databases and GIS systems (ArcGIS/QGIS is a plus) is also necessary. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team within a multicultural setting. Proactive and autonomous work habits are highly valued, as is attention to detail and rigor in data handling.

Educational Background:
