Job Overview:
The Reintegration Assistant – Data Specialist will play a crucial role in consolidating indicators, generating analytical evidence, and coordinating contributions from various ministries and partners. The role involves generating, structuring, and presenting evidence that will facilitate the validation and adoption of the NRR, while also establishing Strategic and Technical Working Groups to coordinate relevant stakeholders effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Reintegration Assistant – Data Specialist include:
  • Evidence Generation & Indicator Framework: Develop an indicator framework for national reintegration, utilizing existing MGI indicators and M&E tools from various stakeholders. Gather quantitative and qualitative data from relevant ministries and partners, prepare data visualizations, and produce an analytical package to demonstrate the necessity of the NRR.
  • National Reintegration Report – Development & Advocacy: Draft the structure and content outline of the NRR, develop advocacy materials to promote its acceptance, and support government focal points in reviewing and endorsing the NRR structure. Facilitate consultations with key ministries to secure political buy-in.
  • Strategic & Technical Working Groups: Map existing interministerial platforms, develop Terms of Reference for the Working Groups, and support the formal establishment of these groups. Organize and document meetings, producing a roadmap for their operations.
  • Stakeholder Mobilization & Coordination: Identify and map relevant partners, ensure regular communication, consolidate contributions, and align partner initiatives with the NRR and Working Groups.
  • Reporting & Knowledge Management: Produce monthly technical reports for the Reintegration Officer, document meetings, and develop a final roadmap for National Reintegration Data Governance, including sustainability options.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Reintegration Assistant – Data Specialist position include a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Administration, Migration Studies, Development Studies, or a related field from an accredited institution with three years of relevant professional experience. Candidates should possess strong analytical and drafting skills, the ability to facilitate interministerial dialogue, excellent data organization and synthesis capacity, and strong communication and advocacy skills.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have either a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Administration, Migration Studies, or Development Studies from an accredited institution. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the duties of the position effectively.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in research, data management, monitoring and evaluation, or governance coordination.
