Job Overview:
The Field Implementation Officer will play a crucial role in the Flood Recovery Programme (FRP) initiated by UNDP in response to the devastating floods that affected millions in Pakistan. This position involves ensuring the effective implementation and quality assurance of field activities in the Sindh province, particularly in Dadu and Larkana. The officer will coordinate closely with the FRP project team, government officials, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with quality standards set by UNDP and its partners. The role requires a client-oriented approach and the ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds while maintaining high standards of accuracy and consistency in work. The officer will be responsible for designing and executing community engagement plans, monitoring project progress, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders to enhance project outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Field Implementation Officer's duties include cultivating and maintaining relationships with government partners, community members, and implementing partners. The officer will act as a liaison between the UNDP Country Office and local stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Responsibilities also include monitoring project implementation progress, designing monitoring tools, and reporting on project activities. The officer will conduct regular field visits to engage with community members, address grievances, and implement community engagement plans. Additionally, the officer will support the FRP team in managing project risks and ensuring compliance with social and environmental standards. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for partnership enhancement and project sustainability.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong organizational, mobilization, communication, and report writing skills. A commitment to social justice and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders is essential. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a client-oriented approach and the capacity to work in a multicultural environment. Experience in community engagement and project management is highly desirable, along with a proven track record of successful stakeholder coordination.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or specialized training in project management, community development, or related areas will be considered an asset. Candidates should have a solid understanding of development principles and practices, particularly in the context of disaster recovery and community engagement.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in project implementation, community engagement, or a related field. Experience working with international organizations, particularly in disaster recovery or humanitarian contexts, is highly desirable. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure, with a strong focus on achieving results.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Urdu or local dialects spoken in Sindh is highly desirable, as it will facilitate communication with community members and stakeholders. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
This is a national UNV assignment, and the selected candidate will be responsible for arranging their own housing and living essentials. A Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of PKR 183,920 will be provided monthly to cover housing, utilities, and living expenses. The assignment includes life health and permanent disability insurance, health coverage for up to three dependents, and a resettlement allowance for satisfactory service. The position is full-time and requires the officer to be based in Larkana, Sindh, Pakistan.
