Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is within the Division of Production, Productivity and Management at ECLAC, specifically in the Digital Transformation Unit. The internship is expected to last between 3 to 6 months, depending on the needs of the office. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of communication strategies, coordinating events, and facilitating knowledge-sharing activities. This position is ideal for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in communications, event management, and research within an international organization, particularly in the context of digital transformation and economic development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: assisting in the development and execution of communication strategies; supporting the organization of events, meetings, and working group sessions; drafting and designing communication materials such as newsletters, infographics, and reports; preparing presentations and visual content for both internal and external audiences; providing research assistance on topics related to digital transformation, economic development, and regional cooperation; and supporting the design and layout of publications and online materials. These responsibilities will allow the intern to engage actively with the work of the Digital Transformation Unit and contribute to its objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet specific qualifications to be considered for the internship. They should be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent) or be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher). While professional work experience is not required, a field of study closely related to the internship is necessary. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate basic knowledge or interest in the economics of science, technology, and innovation, as well as possess the ability to manipulate and analyze data. A strong interest in the work of the United Nations and the ability to work in a multicultural environment are also essential.

The educational background required for this internship includes being a student in the final year of a bachelor's degree program, or being enrolled in or having completed a master's or Ph.D. program.
