Job Overview: The EZ-Trainee program is a professional development initiative designed to strengthen the quality infrastructure for renewable energies and green hydrogen in Morocco. The program spans 17 months and includes four practical phases, starting with a one-month preparation period followed by a two-month assignment at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig, Germany. This is followed by an eight-month deployment in Morocco focusing on renewable energy and green hydrogen, and concluding with a two-month assignment at an international organization and a final four-month placement at the BMZ. The program aims to provide trainees with comprehensive insights into the structures, actors, and functions of development cooperation through on-the-job training.
Duties and Responsibilities: As part of the trainee program, your responsibilities during the first practical phase will include supporting reporting activities, particularly to the BMZ, organizing training sessions for laboratory personnel, and facilitating advisory missions. You will also be responsible for communication with local partner organizations and the design and implementation of awareness-raising measures regarding quality infrastructure in the renewable energy sector. The specific tasks for the subsequent practical phases will be developed throughout the EZ-Trainee program, allowing for a dynamic learning experience.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification in fields such as energy or economic sciences, including industrial engineering or international cooperation with a focus on energy. Fluency in French, German, and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should have proven expertise in renewable energy and familiarity with quality infrastructure is preferred. Other desirable qualifications include knowledge of development cooperation, practical experience in a developing country, willingness to relocate multiple times, and intercultural competence. Internship experience is sufficient to meet the practical experience requirement.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree or a comparable qualification in relevant fields such as energy sciences, economic sciences, or international cooperation with a thematic focus on energy. This educational foundation is essential to ensure that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and analytical skills to succeed in the trainee program.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have some level of practical experience, which can be fulfilled through internships or previous work in relevant fields. Experience in a developing country is particularly valued, as it demonstrates the ability to adapt to diverse environments and challenges. Candidates should also be open to relocating and working in various organizations throughout the program.
