Job Overview:
The Development & Outreach Department Intern position at Human Rights Watch in Sydney offers a unique opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in a prominent international non-profit organization. Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be responsible for a variety of outreach and development-related tasks, which may include: utilizing databases to assist with event planning; supporting fundraising initiatives and outreach events; collaborating with team members to engage individual donors, foundations, and corporations primarily located in Sydney and Melbourne; and taking on additional projects that align with the intern's interests and skills. Interns will also have the opportunity to learn about the intricacies of non-profit operations and contribute to the mission of promoting human rights.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for this internship must be currently enrolled students for the duration of the internship. Strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to projects, and a demonstrated reliability are essential. A keen interest in international human rights is required, along with desirable experience in fundraising, media, social media, government relations, event planning, and familiarity with Salesforce. Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office, is strongly preferred. Additionally, applicants must possess valid work authorization in Australia for the entire duration of the internship.

Educational Background:
The internship is best suited for tertiary students who are pursuing degrees related to international relations, human rights, social sciences, or similar fields. Experience:
