Job Overview:
The position of Assistant(e) au suivi is crucial for the effective implementation of WFP's activities in the Bounkani and Gontougo regions of Côte d'Ivoire. The role involves monitoring the quality and compliance of activities conducted by partners and communities, ensuring that interventions meet the needs of beneficiaries while adhering to humanitarian principles. The Assistant(e) au suivi will be responsible for collecting and verifying field data, tracking indicators, and relaying critical information for decision-making. This position requires active engagement with beneficiary communities through regular consultations to ensure that their feedback is integrated into program planning. The Assistant(e) will also support the feedback mechanism, ensuring that complaints and suggestions from beneficiaries are handled efficiently and confidentially. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant(e) au suivi will undertake a variety of duties, including but not limited to: verifying planned movements and distributions of food and non-food items, communicating any issues or discrepancies to supervisors for prompt resolution; organizing and facilitating community consultations before, during, and after program implementation to ensure beneficiary buy-in and incorporate their feedback into planning; managing information files and documents related to monitoring plans, including records of product movements and checklists for programs to ensure effective delivery and distribution of assistance; compiling program-related data according to clear guidelines to facilitate program reviews and informed decision-making; liaising with cooperating partners and colleagues to gather feedback and observations that can be used to enhance program reviews and service delivery; receiving and compiling feedback from partners and beneficiaries to identify potential issues and promote efficient operations; providing guidance to cooperating partners on operational practices and monitoring tools to assist them in self-monitoring and enhance WFP's visibility in intervention areas; preparing mission reports to describe program implementation; supporting the implementation and monitoring of the feedback mechanism, ensuring that beneficiary complaints and suggestions are recorded, addressed, and resolved effectively and confidentially; applying defined processes and procedures for delivering emergency food assistance; and performing any other tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of WFP's operational standards and monitoring and evaluation systems. They should demonstrate the ability to apply qualitative and quantitative methods for data collection and analysis, ensuring compliance with WFP's technical standards. The role requires proficiency in managing performance and utilizing performance management systems effectively. Candidates should also exhibit strong analytical skills, capable of collecting and summarizing program data, including logistics and beneficiary information, to support program assessments and evaluations. Additionally, candidates should be adept at establishing and maintaining sustainable partnerships with external stakeholders and collaborating towards common objectives.

Educational Background:
A minimum educational requirement for this position is a Bachelor's degree, complemented by a post-secondary certificate in a relevant functional area. This educational background should provide candidates with the foundational knowledge necessary for effective performance in the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least four years of relevant experience in a functional area related to monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or humanitarian assistance. Experience in the United Nations system or similar organizations is highly desirable, as is familiarity with WFP's monitoring and evaluation frameworks and standards. Previous experience in analyzing data related to program outcomes and impacts is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication in the operational context. Proficiency in English at an intermediate level is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with international colleagues and stakeholders.
