Job Overview: The Driver position at WFP is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of authorized personnel and goods. Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely transport authorized personnel and goods, ensuring adherence to designated routes and UN regulations.
Welcome official personnel and visitors at airports or other entry points, assisting with customs and visa procedures.
Maintain a detailed log of vehicle maintenance and report daily vehicle conditions to the supervisor.
Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety equipment.
Follow established protocols for deliveries and report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
Perform simple administrative tasks as required, such as filing, photocopying, and managing inventory.
Assist in the delivery or collection of various items, including mail and invoices, to support administrative functions.
Uphold WFP's values and standards of behavior, demonstrating integrity, respect for diversity, and a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
Valid driver's license and official driver training certification.
At least two years of driving experience, preferably in an embassy, UN agency, or international organization.
Proven track record of safe driving and knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance.

Basic administrative skills and ability to perform simple tasks as needed.
Strong sense of responsibility, courtesy, and tact in dealing with others.
Educational Background: The minimum educational requirement for this position is a secondary school diploma or equivalent technical training. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have completed formal driver training to operate the assigned vehicle in compliance with local regulations.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of two years of professional driving experience, ideally within a UN agency, embassy, or similar international organization. Experience with various vehicle types, including vans and other motorized vehicles, is preferred. Knowledge of preventive driving techniques is also desirable.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, with a basic understanding of English being advantageous. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in both languages to facilitate interactions with local stakeholders and team members.
