Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Drive the vehicle(s) assigned to the Mission, ensuring the safe transportation of the Head of Office and any other staff members as instructed.
  • Guide, monitor, and organize the transportation schedules for the programs administered by IOM Belize Office.
  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle to ensure roadworthiness, including daily checks of tires, brakes, engine oil, and fan belts.
  • Arrange for minor repairs and ensure that the vehicles are kept clean.
  • Ensure that vehicles undertake regular service intervals and maintain records of such service.
  • Identify the most direct and safe routes to destinations.
  • Ensure that IOM vehicles are used only for official business as advised by the supervisor.
  • Prepare daily log sheets and monthly reports summarizing statistics linked to mileage and fuel consumption.
  • Notify supervisors about the expiration of traffic cards, required maintenance, and any observed damage to the vehicle. 1
