Job Overview: The Partnership and M&E Coordinator will play a crucial role in the implementation of the project titled 'Enabling workplace compliance and sectoral practices towards more sustainable electronics supply chain in Viet Nam.' This project is a public-private partnership initiative aimed at enhancing labor law compliance and responsible practices within the electronics supply chain in Vietnam. The coordinator will be responsible for developing meaningful partnerships, ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation of project activities, and supporting the overall project management. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government entities, trade unions, and businesses, to achieve the project's objectives. The coordinator will also be tasked with preparing reports, managing databases, and facilitating communication among project partners, ensuring that gender equality and non-discrimination are integrated into all project aspects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of stakeholder engagement workplans as assigned by the National Project Officer.
Prepare contracts for prospective partners, negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, and other implementation contracts in collaboration with the Sr Administration and Financial Assistant.
Draft technical progress reports, presentations, and communication materials for stakeholder engagement activities and donor funding.
Research potential partners that align with the organization's mission and values, developing proposals and reports for partnership development.
Assist with project management tasks and budget preparation.
Promote gender equality and non-discrimination in all project aspects.
Manage and maintain a bi-monthly database for project progress and implementation documentation.
Monitor project targets, identify information gaps, and suggest solutions for effective measurement of outputs and outcomes.
Develop reporting templates for partners and ensure gender-segregated data in reports. 1
Coordinate evaluability assessments and oversee project evaluation milestones. 1
Support communication activities to effectively convey project results to stakeholders. 1
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in economics, social sciences, or related fields. A master's degree in a relevant social science discipline is considered an asset. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of one year of professional experience in development project/programme management and partnership, with a preference for experience in labor-related projects. Familiarity with labor issues and decent work in global supply chains, particularly in the electronics industry, is highly desirable. Experience in result-based management and collaboration with workers' and employers' organizations, as well as NGOs, will be advantageous. Knowledge of social dialogue and labor compliance issues in global supply chains is also important.
Educational Background: The position requires a first-level university degree in economics, social sciences, or other related fields. A master's degree in a relevant social science discipline is an asset and will enhance the candidate's qualifications for the role.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least one year of professional experience in development project/programme management and partnership. Experience in labor-related projects and familiarity with the electronics industry and decent work challenges in Vietnam will be beneficial. Candidates with experience in managing multi-donor funded projects and those who have worked with the ILO or UN in relevant fields will have an advantage.
Languages: Excellent command of English and Vietnamese is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.
Additional Notes: The position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability.
